What cookies are
Cookies are tiny text files that websites store on your device to remember things about your visit - like whether you're logged in, what's in your cart, or whether you accepted the cookie banner. They've been around for 30 years; they're not inherently dangerous, but they can be misused.
We use as few as possible.

Cookies we use
Essential - required for the site to work. These are always on.
gnome-labz-cart- remembers what's in your cart between page loads. Stored in sessionStorage, not a true cookie. Cleared when you close the tab.cookie-consent- remembers whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner so we don't ask you again.
Analytics - anonymous usage data. Off by default. Opt in via the banner.
cf-analytics- Cloudflare anonymous page-view counts. No personal data, no fingerprinting.
What we don't use: ad-network cookies. Re-targeting pixels. Cross-site trackers. Facebook Pixel. Google Ads. None of it.

Third-party cookies
If you click through to checkout, Stripe sets its own cookies for fraud detection and session continuity. We don't control those - they're governed by Stripe's privacy policy. Stripe is the only third-party cookie source on the site.

Managing your preferences
The cookie banner appears on your first visit. You can:
- Accept - turns on analytics cookies.
- Decline - keeps only essential cookies.
To change your choice later, clear your browser's site data for gnomelabz.com and the banner will reappear.

Browser settings
Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or clear cookies on close. Each browser handles this differently:

If you block essential cookies, the cart will not function. Analytics cookies are safe to block - the site works fine without them.

Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we honor it: we will not load analytics cookies regardless of your banner choice.

Changes to this policy
We update the Last revised date at the top whenever we change this policy. Material changes (new cookie categories, new third-party services) will trigger a fresh banner so you can re-consent.
